hey, eric,

nice to see you here. i've been waiting for someone to show up. :)

by way of introduction, i started this group because i've been recently diagnosed with what turned out to be malignant metastatic melanoma. i would really like to be able to talk to others going through the same stuff, to meet people who don't do the stupid things people often do around me these days because they know i have cancer.

anyway, that's why i'm here. aside from that, i'm a software developer and live in seattle.

how about you?

sounds like fun, i think :) i'm a software developer, love the IT field in general. working keeps me sane, and i love designing software.

i'm doing okay, exhausted, but that's to be expected. unfortunately i have a host of other medical conditions that keep me in pain, which has been the problem this week -- i am nothing but complaints sometimes. but i have some wonderful people around who support me and help take care of things when i can't.

      how was your holiday?

Hi Jenny, I know how you feel, you just want to go on as if everything would be the same, but having been very ill before I had chemo and came out of it,I now understand those folks need to learn how to relate to you all over again, and in my case, that may mean facing my death at any point. You just don't know, and you need them...love and compassion are all that matters. My mum had just passed only 5 months with it before I found out I had the same damned breast cancer, and it was metestatic too. I have responded to chemo very well, am able to walk and be pretty normal with a low dose of morphine full time( 30 m's oral, ms contin)for the back and other ache pain I get sometimes. My suggestions:Quit eating meat, get on a low protien, low acid diet, juicing recommended along with high doses of C, A and D. GETSUN,try enzyme tabs-Vitalzyme, anti inflamitory, and mushroom caps for immune boosting-Mycomedicinals-Paul Stamets blend. I also take E-Tea, herbal essiac tea blend recommended for all cancer patients. You can find these online or at a good h food store.I lived in Seattle for 6 years, when I got the damned disease.. I think no sun is very bad, and the statistics showit.DESTRESS, do what matters to you. Does your state have a program for metst patients, so you can get coverage w/out having to work if necessary? If so, see if you can just live and do what matters, forget money and let someone help you. My partner and I have been together 14 years, and because he and I are not married, I am able to stay home, rest and enjoy heading to the coast or whatever for as long as I am here. Now is what we have girl, you deserve to do what matters to you.. get the rest out of the way.I am much older than you, 54, but young at heart and your life is what matters. so do it NOW! Love to you, Light and Healing. We can survive much longer and better than before, and since its alla gift its what we make of it that matters... You can contact me whenever..
