i lost my mom to breast cancer in 01 my grandma was diagnosed with breast cancer 4 months after my mom passed and now my son who is 3 has leukemia. They are on the same genetic marker L 53 and i know it could be caused by environment. But I dont think I can handle any more cancer. I mean it usually strikes once in a family but not 3 times...not your mom, grandmother and son. I am trying to cope here.

Sun, March 12, 2006 - 5:14 PMthat's an awful lot to deal with. i can imagine you're feeling overwhelmed by it all. i don't have any words of wisdom to offer, but i wanted to make sure to say that someone's listening if you need to talk.
take gentle care of yourself. even and especially when all your energy is going to taking care of the ill people in your life.
